She holds a Master’s Degree from Miami University and has a background in counseling, coaching and teaching. She has written on a variety of topics ranging from healthy eating to fitness to parenting. Kim is an avid runner and racer, student of Pilates and yoga and a bodybuilder. Her passions lie in empowering women and young girls to become confident, balanced and healthy. She embraces the concepts of realness and authenticity as a means to achieve this. Kim has two boys ages 8 and 10.

Shannon Jay Dougherty is a fitness expert, widely published model, personal trainer, bikini competitor and writer. Her images have appeared in a number of fitness magazines including the cover of NASM’s Magazine, The Training Edge, of which she is a certified trainer. A lifelong sports enthusiast and athlete, Shannon received her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with a specialty in Sports Medicine and Athletic Training from San Diego State University. As a certified trainer, Shannon enjoys motivating her clients, especially women and mothers, to live a fit and healthy lifestyle. Shannon is a mother to two young children. Whether skateboarding, coaching youth soccer, or training her clients, Shannon exudes boundless energy and love of life.
